A very active advisory committee has been working cooperatively since January 2006 to help set guidelines for M/WBE / socioeconomic contracting opportunities. Chaired by Rosa Navejar, president of the Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the committee has representatives from city and federal government, other chambers of commerce, project sponsors, women’s construction associations, and various certification agencies.

Because there are local, state, and federal budgets involved, it is important to note that certifications among these agencies are not reciprocal. If you are interested in bidding on any project, you must have the proper certification.
