Trinity River Vision
RIVER AMENITIES

The Trinity River is a premier recreational resource and treasured greenbelt corridor for our community. For more than thirty years, the Streams and Valleys committee has worked to provide and expand the recreational amenities along the river in Fort Worth as well as restore natural beauty through the planting of thousands of trees. Their work, through partnerships with the Tarrant Regional Water District, Tarrant County and the Fort Worth Parks and Community Services Department, has created an inventory of amenities that accommodate a diverse group of users: hike/bike trails, boat docks, white-water chutes, trailheads, playgrounds, bird-watching areas and equestrian trails.

The Trinity River and its tributaries exhibit a unique geographical characteristic that can unite through trails and waterways all quadrants of Fort Worth to the downtown area and confluence of the Clear and West forks. The Trinity River Vision Master Plan provides Streams and Valleys with a road map to guide recreational development in the future, ensuring a safe, convenient amenity for the entire North Texas community to enjoy.
