The trailhead, completed in 2006, is awaiting completion and installation of a public art component commissioned by Streams and Valleys, with support from the Tarrant Regional Water District. Fort Worth photographer Leticia Huckaby captured scenes from the Riverside neighborhood ranging from sports venues to church services. These have been enlarged to 4’ x 6’ panels to be installed along the hike/bike trail.

The trailhead has many amenities already being enjoyed by the public: drinking fountain, mister, lighted parking, restroom, covered picnic tables, an abundance of trees and access to trails on both sides of the river.
